ШTM
Μелодия (Melodiya) was the one and only record label in the Soviet Union until the collapse of the USSR, so it's kind of obvious that ШTM (ШУМ-ТОН-МУЗЫКА - meaning NOISE-TONE-MUSIC) wasn't an official label or business, it was just a fictional record label under which Lev Portnoy released their recordings. It was not a legal entity. All the original recordings by СИГНАЛ and Lev were privately released on cassette - all handcrafted and produced by the band itself - and distributed, in a very limited run, mostly to relatives, friends and die-hard fans. After the Soviet Union's collapse Lev - again financed privately - re-released some of the band's material on 7" vinyl, CD and audio cassette.
