Dark Winter (Label)

Founded by Nathan Larson in early 2003, Dark Winter specializes in Dark Ambient, Multimedia Sound Collage, and Experimental and Unconventional Electronic music. Nathan was one of the founding members of the Green House Music label, which specialized in high-quality ambient and atmospheric music from around the world. After GHM closed its doors due to high operational costs associated with running a major label post 9/11, there was still a need to release the works of Samsa and other great dark electronic artists so the Dark Winter label was created.

Although the initial releases were CDrs, Dark Winter currently operates as a netlabel. All of the original CDr releases have been re-released as MP3s.
