SMC Pro-Arte

US label of the Spanish Music Center in New York City, owned by Gabriel Oller and active 1947 to 1970s, releasing mostly Latin music with some early records of Moondog (2) (four 78s and one 7" EP) being a notable exception. Associated studio is SMC Pro-Arte Studios. Associated publishing company is SMC (15).

For bootlegs / counterfeits, please see SMC Pro-Arte Studios.

Please note there are many LPs and 78s of the 1950s to early 1960s on the label in which appear the phrases "Sonido Estereofónico" and "Grabación Estereofónica". These are not actually stereo releases, they are mono only. This was just the way label owner Gabriel Oller describes the SMC High Fidelity recordings.
