Blanco Y Negro
Label from Barcelona Catalonia, Spain, specialized in Dance music. It was one of the first in Spain and also is the longest, because it still alive.
Blanco y Negro Music was born in 1978 as a record store in the city of Barcelona. And the label was founded on 17 January of 1983 also in Barcelona, by the brothers Jaime, Félix and Luis Buget.
Despite label always was known as Blanco Y Negro, the first label logo says "Blanco Y Negro Music" in red. In 1984 it changed to black and white colour and was kept unchanged until late 1998, when logo just say "Blanco Y Negro" also in black and white.
Blanco y Negro Music has created more than 30 sublabels: 76 Recordings, Acceleration, Basic Mix, Black and White Pop, Box, Celebration, Dirty Spain Recordings, Dixland Records, Fanatic, Fonk Recordings, G Tracks, Gabbers at Work Recordings, GT2 Records, Indalo Music, Insolent Tracks, Kastoria Records, Konga Music, Made in DJ, The Mansion Recordings, Neuronium Records, One Records, Out Records, Plus Recordings, PN Records, Pont Aeri Records, Re-Acceleration, Record Records, Runner Records, Sam Records, Spitfire Music, Trance Box, Tribal Spain Recordings, UR United Records, Vendetta Records, etc
The sublabels are divided in general by musical styles, such as pop or new age, although most are from subgenres of EDM, such as hardcore, gabber, mákina, techno or house.
In its history, it has counted on well known artists, some of them nationally, (such as Fruela, David Civera, Jorge González, Juan Magán, Azúcar Moreno, David Tavare, Raúl Orellana, Tata Golosa, OBK, Seguridad Social, Jay Santos, Romántico Latino, Lucenzo or Sak Noel), and others internationally (as Alexandra Stan, Inna, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, Hardwell, Sasha Lopez, Tom Boxer, ItaloBrothers, Bodybangers, Yolanda Be Cool, Bob Sinclair or Kate Ryan).
