BMG Grammofoonplaten
Dutch record company of the Christian BmG label. BmG stands for Band met God = Relationship with God, while "band" also means "tape" also referring to 'tape recording about God'.
Please note that BmG has nothing to do with the Bertelsmann Music Group.
Started as a foundation (Stichting "De Band Met God") for distributing taped sermons and singing with Christian content to people who are unable to go to church. A few early releases only show "Stichting De Band Met God" and use the identifing code related to the pressing plant in Baarn as catalogue number (see Phonodisc B.V.).
