Scratchie Records (Label)

Indie label founded in 1995 in Chicago by James Iha, D'Arcy Wretzky, Kerry Brown, Adam Schlesinger and graphic designer / producer Jamie Stewart. Jeremy Freeman was the President. The comapny initially entered into a marketing/distribution deal with Mercury Records. That lasted one year, at which point they entered into a similar arrangement with New Line Records and relocated to New York.
