Scandalous Records was founded in 1995 by CEO Allen Christmas, aka DJ Xmas. The record label was based out of Northeast Mississippi.
We're talking about life. Not just Mississippi life, but everyday life. What we experience and what we see. Our lyrics are hard, gangsta, street related, but most of all, it's about the reality of LIFE.
Coming from the heart of soul, straight from the Sippi (Mississippi). Scandalous Records was founded in 1995 by CEO Allen Christmas, AKA...DJ Xmas. The record label is based out of Northeast Mississippi. DJ Xmas knew the limitations in this area, and knew if he wanted to fulfill his musical dreams, he would have to work hard and have a passion for this musical endeavor.
Mississippi, the state where most families get their roots is blooming with undiscovered talent. Scandalous Records set out to put it's home the Sippi on the map. In 1996, one year after being formed, Scandalous Records signed a distribution deal with Select-O-Records of Memphis, TN. Currently the label is producing rap artists and plans to venture into R&B in the future.
