In 1995, the name Pedigree Cuts was briefly used as the name of Alex Rizzo, and Elliot Ireland's first collaboration / release together. However, when they opened their label in 1996, it was switched to being a label name.
Pedigree Cuts is a hybrid, digital commercial label and production library. They began the company with the sole ideal of providing cutting-edge artists with an environment where they would be free of commercial responsibilities, allowing the artists to maintain musical integrity. Within their ranks are writers such as Skeewiff, Goldie, Finley Quaye, Ulrich Schnauss, Kid Crème, Shawn Lee, Charlie May, Commix, Lennart Krarup, Tom Greenwood, Kirsty Hawkshaw, Ian Britt, Boca 45, and Lemon.
