Nate Dore who owned Mutt was a bail bondsman with an office in Inkster - the label was run out of the office - there was a recording studio in the back.
According to Nate Dore's son, Mutt was destroyed by a giant fire. Due to this, the master tapes of unreleases and releases were destroyed in the fire, which is why Mutt Records does not release any reissues.
