ECCO
Danish label founded by classical violinist Moritz Solovej in 1958/59. Released 4 classical EP's before the label paused for a number of years.
Sonet had bought the label and in 1966 it was bought from Sonet by Erik Haaest and used to release beat/ garage rock (pigtrĂ¥d). The label - as so - only existet in 1966 before bankrupsy.
It was again taken over by Sonet and used in the early 70's as a budget reissue label for a.o. the Mascot Records (4) catalogue, which Sonet also had taken over.
The late ECCO records were sold exclusively at the Brugsen warehouse chain.
