Word-Up
An early American hip hop label that was initially founded in 1986 by Dana Goodman as Word Records, but later changed its name to "Word-Up". It was owned by Word-Up Record Enterprises, Inc. from 1986 until early 1987 when 'Word - Up Records, Inc.' was formed. It is known for where the entertainer Will Smith began his career.
