Funarte
The Fundação Nacional de Artes (Funarte) is a foundation of the Brazilian government, linked to the Ministry of Culture and is the body responsible for the development of public policies to promote visual arts, music, theater, dance and circus.
It was created in 1975. In the beginning, it acted in music (popular and classical) fine arts and visual arts. At the time, it worked together with the Instituto Nacional de Folclore (INF), Fundação Nacional de Artes Cênicas (Fundacen) e a Fundação do Cinema Brasileiro(FCB), all linked to the Ministry of Education and Culture, later named only in the Ministry of Culture.
