FatCat Records

Electronica, noise, post-rock label based in Brighton, UK. FatCat was originally a record shop in the early '90s; when the shop was forced to close down in autumn 1997, owners Dave Cawley and Alex Knight were offered space and support by Björk / One Little Indian to start up the label.

Well-known for what the label defined as several series of releases. These included, amongst others, the "7" Series", "10" Series", "12" Series", "Splinter Series", "Remix Series", "E-RMX Series". (A full break-down can be seen on the 'Fat Cat Records discography' Wikipedia page.)

They also run a sublabel called 130701 (named after the date of its inception: 13 July 2001) for more instrumental orchestral-type releases.
