Also credited as Phonogram Inc. US record company incorporated in the State of New York in April, 1973 as successor to Chicago-based Mercury Record Productions, Inc.. As an affiliate of Phonogram International B.V. Phonogram, Inc. handled the Mercury, Philips and Vertigo labels in the US. In July, 1981 the business unit was renamed to Polygram Records, Inc. It existed until being phased out globally in 1997.
