Mille Plateaux

Mille Plateaux is a label for experimental electronic music. It's a cooperation between Force Inc. Music Works and Blue.
Genres like Clickhop, Glitch, Clicks & Cuts etc. were largely influenced (and named) if not formed by the label.

The name "Mille Plateaux" (A Thousand Plateaus) initially stemmed from a concept and same-titled principal work by French philosopher Gilles Deleuze, who himself gave approval of its use to the original label founder.

History:
* 1993: founded by Achim Szepanski
Sublabel of Force Inc. Music Works until 2004.
Releases 1 to 15 are a cooperation between Force Inc. Music Works and Blue.
* 2003: Defunct after the bankruptcy of distributor EFA.
* 2004: Temporarily revived as MillePlateauxMedia.
* 2006: Run by Disco Inc. Ltd.
* 2008: Label name and registration acquired by Total Recall/Marcus Gabler.
* 2010: Relaunched on May 7th.
Sublabel Cluster, Badly Organized and sister label "Force Intel" founded.
*2018: The original label relaunched
