Palette

Defunct Belgian label, also appears as "Palette Records". Label Code: LC 0297 / LC 00297.

Founded in New York in 1958 by Jacques Kluger to supplant Victory (5). It was linked to the publishing company World Music (5), which was taken over by BMG in 1989. Palette's main market were the Benelux countries, but they were also active in various foreign markets. Since 1968 they were distributed in the USA by MGM Records. In September 1975 they made a distribution deal for Belgium with International Bestseller Company, releasing in conjunction with Bestseller and Sounds Superb.
