CORE Entertainment Corporation
CORE Entertainment Corporation (often shortened to "CORE" due to its simplified logo) was a record label founded in Woodland Hills, California, USA. Sources of foundation vary between 1989 and 1991. In 1993, the record label moved from California to Austin, Texas and while there adapted the name "CORE Records Corporation". In 1994 they re-located to Nashville, Tennessee and resumed the use of the original name "CORE Entertainment Corporation".
The record label portion of the company ceased releasing music in 1997, but the corporation continued to exist as an artist management firm. In 2004, President Bill Siddons merged CORE Entertainment Corporation with Howard Lapides' "Lapides Entertainment" to become "CORE Entertainment Organisation", later shortened to "The Core". Another subsidiary of the current version of CORE Entertainment is "RoxCore Management".
