From the beginnings of Detroit techno and house to the latest electro, soul and hip-hop, Submerge is one of the world's hubs for electronic music.
Submerge was founded in 1992 by Mad Mike Banks and Christa Robinson. Aside from being a "walk-in" record shop in Detroit, Submerge is also the manufacturing and distribution section for various Detroit techno labels including Submerge Recordings, KMS, Fragile Records, Underground Resistance, Electrofunk Records, Red Planet amongst others.
