Pulseblack (Label)

PULSEBLACK is a new independent Record label, based in Chicago, that aims to return technology to music lovers and release records that people can love and own. Purchasing any PULSEBLACK record gives the user permanent rights of digital ownership of all the tracks on that record. PULSEBLACK understands that MP3 and digital music distribution can act as marketing and promotion and will not sue or otherwise harass users who possess or trade digital versions of its music.

All rights to the music on this website are reserved to the extent that it does not interfere with fair use of the music by the consumer. Purchase of a recording constitutes an implicit understanding on the part of the consumer, the label and the artist that the consumer has perpetual rights to possession and personal use of the music in its digital format.

The songs may be freely exchanged on file sharing networks by someone who has purchased them under the conditions that no premium is charged, they are not altered in any way and a link to www.pulseblack.com is provided. The songs are available for non-commercial use. Please contact Pulseblack for commercial use. Pulseblack does not recognize and is not bound by any RIAA negotiated contracts.

PULSEBLACK is a very simple concept:

1. Artists receive 50% of the what the label gets for each record sold. Our contracts are small and do not bind artists to any additional recordings. If they want to continue to release records with us, they do.

2. The user gains permanent download rights and fair use of every track they purchase. this means that you can always come back here to re-download a song that you own.

3. We do not sue our customers. We consider file sharing to be a marketing methodology and we encourage our users to trade songs and let their friends listen.

4. We take exceptional care when packaging our records. We make permanent music and it should feel that way.
