Independent label specializing in Russian music, founded by N.B.C.studio artist Dimitri Kornienko and his wife, Anna Kornienko.
Kismet's first releases appeared in August 1943, all featuring selections by the Dimitri Kornienko Ensemble. Later, the label also issued recordings by Alexander Vertinsky (Александр Вертинский), Peter Leshenko (Петр Лещенко), and other artists.
The earliest recordings sport a treble clef in the logo. Later, the label features an accordion instead.
