Ruby Records
Ruby Records began as an independent US record label that was a subsidiary of Slash Records. Originally founded by Chris D. of The Flesh Eaters , Ruby issued seven acclaimed albums in 1981 and 1982. However, it was closed down when Slash entered a distribution deal with Warner Bros. Records, except for two final releases in 1989. Years later, Bryan Ray Turcotte (a musician who had been a Slash employee) acquired the Ruby trademark; since 2012, he has used the imprint as an outlet for his own projects.
