Poison Planet Tapes

Started off as a Poison Planet zine in Peoria, IL. Poison Planet Tapes was a D.I.Y. hardcore punk cassette label and distro, operated by former Resist and Detestation drummer Ty Smith a.k.a. The Legendary Ty "Douglas" Smith a.k.a. Ty "You-Owe-Me-50-Cents!" Smith (RIP Sep. 2011) during the '90s until it abruptly went on a hiatus around 2001 due to owner's "personal" reasons. Notable patrons include Koichiro Matsubara from F.F.T. Label and Argue Damnation.
