Electronic music label from Sweden.
Started back in Örebro in 1988, in the pioneering days of Swedish dance music scene. John Francis (2) set up DanceBEAT in an attempt to create an active independent record company for high-energy dance music. Their few early releases started in 1988, hip-hop/house track and a groovy salsa-inspired track. In 1991 the project turned into a management/production/publishing house. Developing new acts together with some of the new progressive producers such as Douglas Carr, Anders Hansson, remix DJs and record companies dealing with dance music in Scandinavia.
Around 1995, John Francis made a consorted attempt to go back to the roots of DanceBEAT Records as an active independent record company.
