Corwood Industries (Label)

Corwood Industries is the self-publishing label for the music project Jandek, of which little information is known. The label is run by a man named Sterling Richard Smith, who is also the man behind the Jandek project.

Corwood Industries also seems to have mysterious ties with the investments specialist Sterling Smith Corporation, run by the man behind Corwood. The Sterling Smith Corporation also seems to be located in the same place as Corwood.

Corwood's P.O. Box was traditionally the only way to contact the company or order records. In 2010, a website appeared with the same one page catalog list and ordering instructions. The current webpage is more comprehensive, and features lyrics, videos, forms for online ordering, and events.

As of the late 2010s, Corwood releases have increasingly been issued out of numerical order; the dates given by the individual albums' pages reflect their initial availability.
