MTV

Cassette duplication and vinyl pressing plants located in Helsinki, Finland. They were founded in the first half of the 1970's and were owned by the Finnish television network MTV Oy (formerly known as Oy Mainos-TV-Reklam Ab).

The plant had in-house lacquer cutting. Cuts can be recognized by "MTV" etched in the runouts. Known cutting engineers are:
Jukka Laaksonen (JL)
Mikael Bredenberg (MB)
AP Kivinen (ap)
Mika Jussila (MJ)

In some cases MTV lacquers were used for pressing at Riihimäen Äänitetuotanto Oy.

In 1989 MTV Oy established a subsidiary For Oy to handle the manufacturing of records. These cuts can be recognized by "FOR" etched in the runouts.
