Drome Tapes
Drome Tapes was a division of Drome Enterprise, a creative and innovative multi-media platform in Utrecht, active in the early 90ies. It used to publish a magazine, radio- and tv programs, video- and audio productions. They released three tapes, each limited to 250 copies, featured local talent and was given away as promo/demo to record labels and promotors, but also sold in shops.
Many of the tracks first released on Drome Tapes were later issued on vinyl by U-Trax, Djax-Up-Beats and other labels. Some in different versions or under different artist names.
In 2018 a series of 3 EPs with tracks from the tapes but previously unavailable on vinyl were released on Tabernacle Records (2).
