Fonit Cetra

Italian label established in December 1957 after merger of Fonit (Fonodisco Italiano Trevisan) and Cetra (Compagnia Editoriale Teatrale Radio Audizioni) labels. Active until October 1998.
Label Code: LC 66291
Progressive rock reissues, first published in 1989+ had the text "Limited Edition by Vinylmagic..." and no barcode.
Second reissue pressings, late 1991 to 1992 had no Limited Edition text and also no barcode.
Barcodes were introduced circa November 1992.

The label was relaunched as Nuova Fonit Cetra late in 1994 (not to be confused with Ed. Nuova Fonit Cetra which also appears as publisher on many 1989+ reissues), and then merged with Italian Warner Bros. to become Warner Fonit in 1999.

Note: Any 1990s release dated earlier that does not conform to the above history will be a reissue.
