Sylvia Records

1960s-1970s soul label from New York City.
Also appears as "Sylvia" only when associated to TCF & Fox Family.

Along with Arock Records, one of the two labels founded in the 60s by tenor saxophonist and Duke Ellington alumnus Al Sears. Located in New York City, Sylvia Records released about 20 funk & soul records during its existence. Releases on Sylvia include seven singles by Chet Ivey and His Avengers and a few one-offs by the likes of Joan Moody, The Corvairs, and Bobby Donaldson.
