Disques Debs
Founded by Henri Debs. Ended in 1984 to create Debs. Throughout its existence, Disques Debs was arguably the most important label of the French-speaking Caribbean, playing a major role in popularizing beguine, zouk, and compas music. Releases were manufactured both in France and Barbados (the latter by West Indies Records Ltd.) for distribution around the world.
