United Hot Clubs Of America

The United Hot Clubs of America (U.S.A.)

Reissue label founded by Commodore Music Shop owner Milt Gabler and Marshall W. Stearns in October 1935 and active until ca. 1941.

Reissued important early jazz recordings, sometimes using the original stampers, as with American Record Corporation or Columbia recordings, sometimes dubs, as with Gennett and Paramount records. Releases were pressed by Columbia Transcription Services or Decca Records, Inc. and sold through Gabler's shop.
