Universal Master Series

Short-lived series from 1989 featuring several unique Contemporary Jazz and New Age solo and session artists. This Series was originally established by country music producer Jimmy Bowen in 1989 to oversee recordings of non-country artists, primarily instrumentalists. When MCA Records terminated this series, Bowen moved the signed artists to Capitol Records to continue as the Capitol Nashville Masters Series.
