Dada Records
Independent record store established in 1971. The first premises was on the basement level of Trinity Arcade in Hay Street Mall. In the 1970s the store moved to premises in Cremorne Arcade on Hay Street and in 1985 Dada Records moved to their current premises on Pier Street.
First floor primarily comprises of vinyl, videos and t-shirts and is managed by the owner Rob Samson (colloquially known as 'Oldman Dada'). The basement level primarily comprises of new and used CDs from all genres and new and used dance and hip hop vinyl and is managed by long-time music radio host Chris Wright.
In the 1980s Dada Records was associated with the indie rock label Easter Records.
