Beka

German Shellac budget label established in 1910. Orginally known as Beka-Grand-Record, a label created by Bumb & Koenig GmbH (later Beka-Record A.-G. in 1904), it was shortened to BeKa following the adquisition of Beka-Record by Carl Lindström A.-G. in 1910. The label was retained as a local label, occasionally appearing for exports in England, Sweden, Russia and other countries.

Following Lindström's adquisition by Columbia Graphophone Company Ltd. and subsequent merger into Electric & Musical Industries Ltd., Beka came to be administered by the German EMI branch EMI Electrola GmbH
