West Wind Records

Short-lived Minneapolis, Minnesota-based country-western label founded by Mike Jann, Larry LaPole and Tony Andreason in 1967.

Andreason was lead guitaritst for the Trashmen, which had recently disbanded. Jann and LaPole were co-workers in the advertising department of the Minneapolis Star newspaper. Jann was a friend of Andreason's and frequently made live recordings of the band. LaPole wrote many of the Trashmen's songs and was a local performing artist in his own right. All were longtime fans of country music.

Most West Wind Records labels feature black type on a pale blue label.
