Established in 1994 following the acquisition of The Sparrow Corporation, Sparrow Records, Inc. (Sparrow Records) & Star Song Communications, Inc. (Star Song Communications, Star Song Records, Star Song) by Thorn Emi. EMI Christian Music Group now operates several divisions including EMI CMG Label Group (Sparrow Records and ForeFront Records), EMI Gospel, EMI CMG Distribution and EMI CMG Publishing. In 2013, EMI Christian Music Group, Inc. (EMI Christian Music Group) was renamed Capitol Christian Music Group, Inc. (Capitol Christian Music Group)
