Concertzender
The Concertzender is a Dutch radio station that broadcasts classical music, early music, jazz, world music, chanson, new music and pop music, and does not limit itself to popular movements and travels the less beaten path. A group of volunteers, including musicologists, connoisseurs and critics, takes care of the programming. During the period that the Concertzender was part of the public broadcaster, there were also a number of paid employees. By making and broadcasting concert recordings, special attention is drawn to current Dutch musicians, projects and concerts.
The Concertzender Foundation was founded in 1982 as a local public radio station in Amsterdam under the wings of SALTO (Amsterdam Local Television Broadcasting Foundation). The founders were P. Hans Frankfurther and Jan Wolff.
