Hop Records

Derrick's alias Seymour Morgan was behind this predominantly 1970s label, revived in 2001. It was named after the hops used in beer, because folks asked for hops when they ordered beer in late 1960s Jamaica. This is according to Derrick and why there's a leaf and blossom on original label graphic. Morgan claimed, "I wanted my records to sell like hot hops!" Not named for his song The Hop.
