Loriz Sounds
First techno label from Vienna. Founded early in 1992 by Chris Wallner. Loriz Sounds built a bridge to the early Detroit techno scene and represented the sound in Vienna with a release by Kelly Hand. First release by Savas Pascalidis and Slutz 'N' Strings & 909. Chris Wallner & Boris Kopeinig produced a black and white music video for the hit "summerbreeze", which was shown several times on Viva TV.
The catalogue number Lo-1210, was produced by DJ Bonerider in 1996 and was planned as edible vinyl, but was not realised. About 150 white copies were found in a warehouse in Germany at the end of 2022 and were re-stamped and distributed by WORD AND SOUND with cover and sticker.
Chris Wallner also discovers the music instrument collector Gerhard Potuznik aka P.O.T., who was one of the pioneers of electronic device heads in Vienna at the time. He introduced him to Patrick Pulsinger, who took him over to his label when the label also ceased its activities due to the closure of the distributor "Neuton" in Germany. Some releases were licenced to Italy in 2024.
