Beauty & the Beat
Beauty & the Beat is a full-on, no-limits, all welcome, freeform psychedelic dance party. Hosted in various east London venues over the years by Cyril Cornet, Jeremy Gilbert & Cedric Woo (CW) since 2005.
To celebrate their 10th year anniversary they decided to go one step further and launch their own label with the release of Soundspecies' Balafon Jam, a psychedelic jam (!) produced and remixed by friends and kindred spirits. A real labour of love from start to finish, from the production to the mastering to the pressing. On a similar tropical and psychedelic tip, their 2nd release introduced the world to the work of a close friend, Blackbush. The label is now set to expand further in the near future.
