D-Town Records
1960s soul label from Detroit, Michigan, owned by Mike Hanks, who named it after Dee Edwards.
D-Town was connected to Wheelsville U.S.A. and Premium Stuff.
Reactivated in the 1980s in Los Angeles, California.
1960s label design was mainly a yellow background with black lettering, but with exceptions at 1022 (cream label), 1029 (Orange Label), 1038 (Blue label) and 1040 (Red label) all with black lettering. It's thought these were for promotion use only.
