Ready Rolled Records

Short-lived independent South African label launched in 2002 as a subsidiary of Sheer Sound.

Under the helm of Kevin Ross Stuart it focused on local artists and the "more eclectic styles including drum 'n bass, big beats, acid jazz, hip-hop, trip hop and good house music." The label's first release, however, was comedian John Vlismas' "Man in Black" CD, with others by Tumi & The Volume and Tribe following.

Both "Cape Town 2AM" compilations even saw licensing to German Peacelounge Recordings but in 2005 Ready Rolled was absorbed into Sheer Sound.
